LOL whoops.
I never realized people sent me messages… my baddddd! Y’all cool kids. Sorry for never getting back to you all. lol -__-
I’ve spent…
the past 3 hours doing my research on churches/perpetual adoration chapels in Northern-Central Jersey as well as along the Atlantic coast. I’ve condensed my list of graduate schools to 2: Kean University and Stockton University.
I happened to stumble upon this awesome website called domesticchurchmedia.org, which is stationed in Trenton, NJ. One of our AHFI promoters actually has a radio show on this site and has interviewed some of our Third Orders, Religious, and even my Pastor Fr. Anthony Manupella. They’re even hosting a really AMAZING retreat in July that has Fr. Donald Calloway, Jesse Romero, and the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal speaking and… wait for it… DANIELLE ROSE will be performing! <3 Anyway, I also found a link of ALL the adoration chapels in New Jersey; can you say Divine Providence at it’s best?
This list was very convenient and was separated by town, parish, and adoration times (ex: perpetual vs. once a week). I went through every single parish that had perpetual adoration and would see how far it would be from either one of the schools… it turned out that they all were quite the distance. Then, I went through all the ones that have adoration daily but not perpetual. Still not satisfied. I started to become desperate and Googled my diocese and looked for churches by county. Each parish had a link to their website so I proceeded to click around aimlessly. Most of the websites had a picture of the church building on the “home” page; if the building looked really cool I immediately clicked out of there and proceeded to check out the next parish. lol.
I happened to click on one parish that sounded pretty “solid;” the parish name was Our Lady of Sorrows in Linwood, NJ. Low and behold, the first thing I see are a logo of the Two Hearts (Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts) and a parish tag line of “A Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Parish, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.” I was like, “Whaaaat!? You’ve got to be kidding me!?” First of all, this parish definitely wasn’t on the list of NJ perpetual adoration chapels. Second, it’s only about a 20 minute drive from the school I’d like to attend. and Third, how much more perfect can this be for me? This is truly amazing. God always provides, man.
I find it funny how I’m basing my school of choice by the surrounding churches. But hey, my soul needs to live, especially if I’m going to be on my own. I’ve been bugging out for the past few weeks about not being able to find a pretty solid Catholic church with an adoration chapel because srsly, literally NOTHING compares to my parish right now so to find a new home has been a grueling experience… but I’m PRAYING I’ll find this new home to be fitting for my soul. Now, all I gotta do is apply and get accepted to the school. Oh, and finish my last year of undergrad. Hahah. Stockton, pleeeeeeease accept me! lolol.
Lord, let your Will unfold.
